Uttarakhand Govt releases helpline number, nearly 100-150 people feared missing in flash flood

Uttarakhand Chief Secretary OM Prakash while speaking to ANI said that 100-150 casualties feared in the flash flood in Chamoli district

Due to glacier breakdown in the Chamoli Nanda Devi National Park the dam of Rishi Ganga Tapovan Hydro Project near Rani village has sustained severe damage. Many workers working on the project are feared to be missing in this accident. The number of casualties has been estimated up to 150 as per ANI. Seeing this, Uttarakhand’s CM Trivendra Singh Rawat has released the helpline number.

Trivendra Rawat Tweeted, “If you are stuck in the affected area, if you need any kind of help, please contact Disaster Operations Center number 1070 or 9557444486. Please do not spread rumors by sharing old videos about the incident.”

He further stated that people can also contact 1905.
