In a blow to the VIP culture, an ambulance of Hosmat hospital, which was carrying an emergency patient, was given precedence over Chief Minister of Karnataka convoy. The ambulance was allowed to overtake CM of Karnataka convoy with their concurrence.
“BTP (Bangalore Traffic police) stood by my instructions to prioritise the movement of ambulances against VIP convoys; today they allowed an ambulance overtake my convoy,” wrote the CM alongside a video.

The video was also shared by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic East Division, Bengaluru.
“Hosmat Hosp Ambulance carrying an emergency patient was given precedence & allowed to overtake @CMofKarnataka convoy with their concurrence,” he tweeted.
