Indian Premiere League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore’s captain Virat Kohli will step down from his position following the completion of this edition of the tournament, the franchise announced in a statement on September 19.
“This will be my last IPL as captain of RCB,” Kohli was quoted as saying in a statement issued by the team on social media.

The 32-year-old Kohli has been captaining RCB since 2013, and has been associated with the team since the tournament’s inaugural edition in 2008.
