Cricketers and their fascination for Bollywood beauties goes back a long way. From Mohammad Azharuddin dating Sangeeta Bijlani to Mansoor Ali Khan marrying Sharmila Tagore and recent being Virat Kohli – Anushka Sharma, these two drastically different yet glamorous fields are always attracted towards each other. We even hear stories about cricketers being head over heels in love with B-town beauties. Though some are fortunate to have a happy ending, other relationships don’t materialise into happily ever after. And some linkups didn’t even exist. Like Virat and Tamannaah in this case.
It was in 2012 when Kohli was rumoured to be dating this Baahubali actress. They had worked in an ad film together and speculations were rife about them being the new couple in the tinsel town. However, Tamannaah in her recent interaction has denied the stories and rubbished them completely. When asked if she was ever involved with the Indian skipper, she said, “I think we spoke four words during the ad film, that’s it. After that, I’ve never met or spoken to Virat. But, I must say he was better than most of the actors we work with. And it was quite intimidating.” However, sources claim that the Tamannaah Bhatia and Virat Kohli did date briefly, before Kohli moved onto Anushka Sharma.
The affair was short-lived as the star batsman was smitten by Ms Sharma instead. The duo too met on the sets of an ad commercial and later started dating secretly. They denied their relationship until we witnessed pictures from their wedding album. And rest as they say is history. The couple continue to give us relationship goals as they pose for pictures from their travels.
