Watch: Crocodiles spotted floating in water-logged Vadodara streets after rains lash city

Gujarat has been facing heaving rainfall in past few days resulting in flood-like situation, bring the daily usual life to a standstill. While the people have already been distressed over roads of Vadodara and nearby cities being completely under water, a terrifying sight of a crocodile in the residential area has made the situation worst for the citizens.

A video is doing rounds on social media showing crocodile entering the water-logged residential area at Raj Ratan Society near Polo Ground. The video shows a water-logged street and two stray dogs trying to escape a crocodile that was casually wading through the water, trying to sneak up on the dogs.

This society is close to Vishwamitri River, and the crocodile is believed to have come out of the river after the water level increased following heavy rains. The search and rescue operation is underway, however, rescuers are unable to get hold of the reptile because of the water level in the society. When the rescuers try to approach the crocodile, it disappears underwater.
