Veteran lyricist Gulzar and filmmaker-composer Vishal Bhardwaj have earlier announced about their two songs-Marenge to wahin jaakar, O Re Bidesiya for the upcoming documentary ‘1232KMS’. The song ‘O Re Bidesiya’ is out now on the official YouTube channel for the filmmaker ‘VBMusic’.

While Sukhwinder Singh has lent his voice for ‘Marenge to wahin jaakar, the track ‘O re bidesiya’ has been recorded in the voice of Vishal’s wife, Rekha Bharadwaj.

The upcoming documentary feature about the migrant workers exodus during the lockdown.

‘O Re Bidesiya’ song out:

The 3 minutes 53 seconds song depicts the ordeals faced by the migrant workers spread across the country when the nationwide coronavirus lockdown was announced. The video opens with a migrant worker on a face time with his relatives back home. The migrant can be heard saying ‘Don’t worry I am coming home’ in Bhojpuri.

The video continues to show the journey of those migrant workers who opted walking and cycling for several days to reach to their families.

Undoubtedly, the music maestros has created yet another masterpiece. The lyrics, composing is apt and the video will surely leave you teary-eyed.

Sharing the video on Twitter, Vishal Bhardwaj dropped the video and wrote, “No road is long enough when it leads to home.”

Produced and directed by National award-winning filmmaker Vinod Kapri, the documentary narrates the story of seven migrant workers, who defied all odds to reach home during the nationwide lockdown last year.

“1232 KMS” will stream on Disney+ Hotstar VIP from March 24 onwards.
