Watch: Indian-origin men in Canada do the ‘Bhangra snow removal’ dance

Unfazed by the biting cold, a video of three Indian-origin men in Canada dancing to Bhangra tunes while shovelling snow in freezing temperatures has been viewed more than 1.6 million times on Facebook and more than 500,000 times on YouTube.

The clip was uploaded last week by the Maritime Bhangra Group, a group of young dancers from Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada.

For three years now, they’ve been giving performances in Nova Scotia and this isn’t the first time a video of theirs has been widely viewed and shared, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) reported.

The three men dance with impressive skills to a Punjabi song, and to a ‘desi’ mix of Australian musician Sia’s chartbuster, Cheap Thrills oblivious to the cold.

The temperature in Halifax is expected to consistently dip below zero Celsius this week.
