With heavy rains lashing the island city of Mumbai, water logging has been reported in many areas of the city. The suburbs experienced a great deal of rainfall.

The Colaba observatory recorded 56.8 mm of rains,  while Santacruz recorded 12.8 mm from 11 pm on Monday night till 7 am Tuesday morning.

Areas like Gandhi Market and the end of Tilak Bridge in Dadar experienced water-logging. The BEST buses have been diverted at Sion road no 24 and Vidyavihar.

The BMC disaster management has also recorded the complaint of six tree falls.

India Meteorological Department, Mumbai forecasts heavy rains in the next 24 hours at isolated places.

There is a high tide warning of 4.81 metres which is given for 2.39 pm today in Mumbai. The city inhabitants have been asked to keep away from the sea.
