At a press conference in the nation's capital, he claimed that the BJP's counting agents and those of other opposition parties were prevented from visiting the counting centres and described the election violence as unprecedented.

"According to media reports, at least 45 individuals perished during the panchayat election violence. The terms bombing, fraudulent voting, and rigging appear most frequently in media reports... This is 'nirmamata', not'mamata' (endearment) "Patra was billed.
