Emma Navarro, who has been rising rapidly in tennis, attended Ashley Hall in Charleston, South Carolina, after moving to New York City in 2001. Her passion for tennis began in the fourth grade, and she would wake up at 5:45 a.m. to practice for about an hour before school. Navarro reflected on the sacrifices required to pursue her tennis goals, noting the impact on her daily routine.

In 2019, Navarro made a significant mark in her professional career by receiving a wild card to debut at the Charleston Open. That year, she not only finished as the runner-up in the singles tournament but also won the junior French Open doubles title, which garnered her international recognition.

Navarro continued to build on her success by competing in collegiate tennis at the University of Virginia from 2020 to 2022. During her time there, she won the NCAA singles championship in 2021, which earned her a place in her first major tournament, the US Open.
