Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has fielded Mahua Majhi as its Rajya Sabha candidate, the Renowned Hindi literary luminary and Jharkhand Women’s Commission chairperson.
Announcing her name, Jharkhand CM and working president of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Hemant Soren said, “We discussed names and finally Guruji (Shibu Soren) decided upon the name of Mahua Maji to be our Rajya Sabha nominee”
Addressing a press conference at his official residence, Hemant Soren said that he had a discussion with Congress president Sonia Gandhi regarding the candidature and he further discussed the issue with the JMM President Shibu Soren who approved the name of Mahua Maji.
Mahua Maji was the chairperson of the Jharkhand State Women Commission and she was also the JMM candidate from the Ranchi assembly seat.
