Ruhaan Arshad popularly known as Miya Bhai, an Indian rapper, rose to fame after his song ‘Miya Bhai Hyderabadi’ went viral on social media. The video has resonated with not just Hyderabadis, but people in Pakistan, Turkey, and other places as well. The rap video bagged over 300 million views on YouTube. It had overtaken ‘Mere gully mein’ from the February 2019 blockbuster Gully Boy.
Arshad serves up in the typical bhai style. He races, in Deccani Urdu, through terms like chicha (uncle), sabku (everyone), pottiyaan (girls), chabutre (terrace), and kaaiku (why).
The song, which Ruhan wrote and crooned in just one week, also enhanced his subscriber base on the YouTube channel from five thousand to more than one lakh.
The 22-year-old rapper who hails from Telangana, is a student of the city’s Prathibha Degree College who is slowly becoming a name to reckon with on the internet and social media platforms. His success in the song ‘Miya Bhai Hyderabad’ got him much appreciation. The MLA of his constituency, Quthbullapur, and others have felicitated him and assured him all the support for his career.
Ruhaan gave credit to his friends Taufeeq Shaik and Abdul Aziz who motivated him to take rapping professionally. He also appeared in several music events along with Adnan Hasnain and much-known Indian TikToker Mr.Faisu.
Recently, Ruhaan worked with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan who usually releases his films on Eid, released a song ‘Bhai Bhai’ instead. The song speaks of the brotherhood between Hindus and Muslims.

‘Bhai Bhai’ is sung by Ruhaan Arshad and Salman Khan. While the music is composed by Sajid Wajid and the lyrics is penned by Salman Khan and Danish Sabri.
Ruhaan Arshad shared his memories with music composer Sajid Ali at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad and when he visited the Taaleem studio by Sajid Wajid to record the rap of Bhai Bhai song in Mumbai.
The rapper is also an active user of TikTok and Instagram. On Instagram, he has a fan base of 75k. Recently, he posted the poster of Salman’s new song ‘Bhai Bhai’ thanking Salman Khan and music composer Sajid-Wajid for the opportunity of working with them. He captioned, “Alhumdulillah. Thank u so much @beingsalmankhan sir and @thesajidwajid sir for giving me this opportunity”.

Ruhaan has penned and uploaded eight songs on YouTube. His channel has over 1.58 million subscribers. The 21-year-old rapper has posted his first song ‘Hyderabadi Raja’ on September 25, 2017 on YouTube. He uploaded the remix version of his song ‘Miya Bhai’ on May 25.
