Why silent on lynchings, atrocities against Dalits? Nitin Raut puts 15 questions to PM Modi

On the eve of 72nd Independence Day, the Congress on Tuesday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his silence on mob lynchings and rising atrocities against the Dalits and minorities.

  1. Modi ji, why are you silent on mob lynchings and rising atrocities against the Dalits and Minorities across India?
  2. Modi ji, you spoke highly of Dr. BabaSaheb Ambedkar during your recent speech in Rajya Sabha on Constitution day but when will you speak up against the person who burnt the copy of Constitution of India, or that means nothing to you?
  3. Modi ji, the budget 2018 saw a drop from Rs.3,348 crore to 3000 crores for the post-matriculation scholarships for Schedule Castes, don’t you think this restricts the equal opportunity to the access quality education to these young students?
  4. Modi ji, why did you fail to safeguard the interests of the SC-ST community and Dilution of Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe ( Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989 by omission and commision, by Additional Solicitor General of India?
  5. Modi ji, You have always given stress on “Vikas”. Do you believe that our nation can develop without restoring Social Justice?
  6. Modi ji, the job opportunities in India are declining day by day, Demonetisation has made the situation even worse. When will you deliver on your poll-promise of giving 2 crores Jobs every year to the youth of Nation?
  7. Modi ji, around 37% of India’s population falls under Below Poverty Level. According to the reports of the World Bank, the Government has not taken sufficient steps to uplift the poor. As the PM of the nation, how do you look at this major failure of the Government?
  8. Modi ji, as per the NCRB data the crime against women have reached an alarming stage despite your tall promises in 2014. How and when does your Government plan to address the issue instead of defending and rewarding the perpetrators?
  9. Modi ji, your colleague, and aide Subramaniam Swamy say that they will bring reservation to such condition that though it will be technically available but its de facto benefit will not be available to the disadvantaged sections. Characterizing this statement, the Rajasthan government ended the posting of 51,000 teachers. Water, power, transport, railway and sanitation jobs are being done through contractual jobs. The same is happening in Hospitals and educational institutes too. We would like to know from you on how you will protect the Constitutional reservation system in contractual engagements?
  10. Modi ji, earlier the selected candidates in the Indian Administrative Service, the cadre was allotted with positions just after the results. The same has been changed, we want to know why the process has been changed and when the old process will be restored?
  11. Modi ji, When will the 200 point roster system be implemented again?
  12. Modi ji, When are the Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship and other scholarships being redeemed?
  13. Modi ji, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar gave a message to the nation to be educated and stay organized. On this basis, I want to ask you as to how many government schools were closed during the term of your chief ministership and how many private schools in the country were recognized by you during the same period. Significantly, in the states of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, on the lines of your Gujarat model, there is a continuous process of closure of government schools. In the state of Rajasthan, 17,300 government schools were closed. We want to know from you that by blocking and closing government schools, which class of students do you want to deprive of education?
  14. Modi ji, when will you start working towards removal of untouchability, entry for all in Temples and other religious places, like Gandhi ji did?
  15. Modi ji, lastly we want to ask ‘ Acche Din Kab Aayenge”?
