37-year-old Ghasi Ram got so frustrated with his wife, who had refused to sleep with him for over a decade, decided to do away with the trouble. In India, usually, that would be a very ominous situation for the wife but not in this case. Ghasi Ram, who had come home drunk, simply cut off his own penis after his wife rejected his advances that day as well.
“I was frustrated. We have not had sex for the last ten or twelve years. She would never make love to me. She will not sit close to me and always refuses my demands,” said Uttar Pradesh resident, Ghasi.
Manjhri Devi, who rubbished her husband’s claims that she is to be blamed said that Ghasi’s drinking habit and his refusal to listen to her was the reason behind her shunning the advances.
“He would come home drunk every night and never listened to me or cared for me. I just simply said no to him as he was drunk and I was very angry with him. Now he is blaming me for all this when I have done nothing,” said Manjhri.
As soon as Ghasi cut off his genitals, he collapsed – undoubtedly in a world of pain. Manjhri was quick to react and called for help, who ensured that a doctor was summoned.
The couple have been married for 18 years and have a daughter and two sons. No complaint has been filed with the police in the case.
