Xiaomi introduced its first Android Go phone, known as Redmi Go earlier this week. As the phone goes on pre-orders in the Philippines, the price of Redmi Go has been revealed for Philippine peso 3,990 (roughly Rs 5400).
On January 28, Xiaomi introduced its sub-brand Redmi’s Android Go phone on Twitter. Xiaomi mentioned, “”GO” for something new! Today we’re introducing the new #RedmiGo. RT if you’ll be getting one #GoSmartDoMore.”

The listing reveals that the Redmi Go runs on Android Oreo (Go edition) which is a stripped-down version of Android. Xiaomi Redmi Go is going to be an entry-level smartphone as Google launched the Android Go Edition for better performance in lower-end devices.
On January 31, Xiaomi took to Twitter to reveal Redmi Go’s specification.

The Redmi Go runs on Google’s Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) and sports a 5-inch HD display with 720p high resolution. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor, up to 1.4 GHz paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
Redmi Go is packed with a durable battery life of 3000mAh. The phone features an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front camera. Other features of the Xiaomi Redmi Go includes 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack and micro USB 2.0 support.
