According to officials, the Yogi government transferred up to eight IAS officers on Sunday in order to better maintain law and order in the state. IAS Mahendra Singh has been appointed Special Secretary for Home, IAS Sheshnath as Special Secretary for Sugar and Sugarcane Development, and IAS Yogesh Kumar as Special Secretary Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch.
However, IAS Renu Tiwari, Additional Commissioner of Village Development, has also been appointed as Additional Commissioner MNREGA. Arun Prakash, IAS, Special Secretary MSME Export Promotion, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer Khadi and Village Industries. Meanwhile, TK Shibu has been appointed as Additional Land Management Commissioner Revenue Council, IAS Sunil Kumar Verma as Special Secretary Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch, and IAS Anurag Patel as Special Secretary Revenue Department.
The transfer occurs just before the state’s civic elections.
