As India witnesses the political awakening and increased participation of youth in policy making, change is just a stone’s throw away. Be it the debate around ‘nationalism’ and its definition or the diminishing boundaries of gender and its fluidity, the youth of India is questioning social setups and traditional values. By the virtue of social media, campaigns like ‘Pinjra Tod,’ ‘Slut Walk’ and ‘Pride parades’ have been time and again reasserted the value of youth participation- this is the age of Generation next.

Young Makers Conclave is one such initiative that provides a platform to discuss ideas, give them shape and convert them into meaningful projects. The event is a brain child of Shaili Chopra, the founder of SheThePeople.TV. Taking placing on September 21, it will cater to youth who are active in the political arena with panelists like Gaurav Gogoi, a young politician full of ideas from the Congress party, Nupur Sharma, another young changemaker from BJP and Ankit Lal (AAP).

Though divided by political ideologies, they will come together for Young Makers Conclave and create an ecosystem where ‘ideas’ will be discussed, promoted and an action plan will be created to ‘rattle the status quo.’

The speakers include Union minister Piyush Goyal and Sachin Pilot. Bestselling authors Amish Tripathi, Megha Pant, stand-up comedian Papa CJ  and Vaibhav Agarwal, CEO/ founder of Inc42 and Ritesh Mehta, head of economic initiative south Asia, Facebook will initiate dialogue on merging ideas, economics and creativity.
