The Kannada film KGF has raked more money than Bollywood biggie Zero according to trade analysts. Both KGF and Zero are receiving mixed reviews from critics, but in terms of Box office collections KGF maintains its upper-hand over Zero.
KGF succeeded to attract audiences from North India at a great extent which was not expected by the KGF star Yash. He was even surprised to know that his movie is making more money at the box office than the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero.
After four days, the Box office collections of the movie Zero was about Rs 69 crore while KGF’s collection was Rs 75 crore at the same time.
“I won’t say that doing better than a Shah Rukh Khan film is something I aspire to do. Ideally, I would want both the films to do well. But yes, the way north Indian audiences have responded has surprised all of us in the KGF team. In north India, they don’t know who I am, yet they are clapping and cheering at my entry”, said Yash quoted by The News Minute.
He continued, “We wanted to take Kannada cinema to another level… And we’ve succeeded in doing that.”
This is the first chapter of the movie KGF which has proved to be a mass entertainer across India, though Zero has failed to live up to its expectations.
