Social Security May 28: Who Gets Paid and When
People who started getting their Social Security payments before May 1997 don’t follow the birthday schedule. Instead, they always get paid on the third day of the month. But there’s a change next month. June 1 falls on a Sunday, and payments don’t go out on weekends. So the June SSI checks will come early, on Friday, May 30. People who get both SSI and Social Security will get their SSI on May 30 and their regular Social Security check on June 3.
