The Road to WrestleMania 35 officially began on Sunday night in Phoenix. The main Royal Rumble card started hot with three fantastic matches but cooled off after the women’s Royal Rumble was both long and slow.
There is plenty still left to learn, including which champions the Rumble winners will challenge. We may get those answers as soon as Monday night on Raw, as one should expect both victors to call out the red brand’s current champions.

SmackDown Women’s Championship — Asuka (c) defeats Becky Lynch via submission to retain the title: In one of the greatest upsets, Asuka made Becky Lynch tap out. The WWE Universe was stunned, so was the former Champion.
Raw Women’s Championship — Ronda Rousey (c) defeats Sasha Banks via pinfall to retain the title: Sasha Banks tried her best to defeat Ronda Rousey but it was just not enough to mark a victory over Ronda’s brute strength.
Becky Lynch wins the Women’s Royal Rumble: Becky Lynch proved that she is the man – as she pulled out a terrific Royal Rumble win out of the hat after tapping out to Asuka at the start of the night. She replaced an injured Lana in the Royal Rumble and went on to win the whole thing.
SmackDown Tag Team Championship — The Miz & Shane McMahon defeat The Bar (c) via pinfall to win the titles: The Miz and Shane McMahon created a huge moment as they defeated the Bar to become the new SmackDown tag team Champions.
WWE Championship — Daniel Bryan (c) defeats AJ Styles via pinfall to retain the title: Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles indulged in an exhausting affair. Before a surprise guest came to help Bryan – Eric Rowan.
Universal Championship — Brock Lesnar (c) defeats Finn Balor via submission to retain the title: Balor, who countered an F5 into a beautiful DDT for a dramatic near fall, took Brock Lesnar to the limit. But, in the end, the beast managed to pull the win out of the hat to keep hold of his Universal title. Balor received punishment after the match was over – two suplexes and one F-5 worth of it.
Seth Rollins wins the Men’s Royal Rumble: Seth Rollins will get a chance to challenge either Brock Lesnar or Daniel Bryan for the title at Wrestlemania as he won his first ever Royal Rumble by eliminating the Monster, Braun Strowman.
