2020 International Indian Film Festival Toronto: Complete schedule of virtual programme

2020 International Indian Film Festival Toronto: Complete schedule of virtual programme

Toronto – The 2020 International Indian Film Festival Toronto (IIFFT) today announced this year’s
virtual programme. This year’s event opens on Sunday, August 9 until Saturday, August 15, and will
feature seven acclaimed films plus a special interview series.

The eighth edition of the festival will once again be a celebration of Indian film and culture and
includes online interviews with celebrities from the Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada
film industries.

The films are free and most will only be available during the exclusive screening times listed below.
For most of the films, viewers must RSVP in advance by sending an email to [email protected]. For that one has to
add the film name to your RSVP subject line.

As an exciting bonus, the IIFFT is thrilled to add to this year’s lineup a series of virtual interviews
with renowned Indian actors and directors conducted by Faridoon Shahryar (entertainment
Journalist – Bollywood Hungama).

As always, there is an exciting list of diverse films planned that will feature some of the industry’s brightest stars. The complete programme is here:

Sunday, August 9 at 12 noon

Film: Padmavyuha (English/Hindi) – world premiere

The opening night film screening will be accompanied by an interview with Bollywood actor Jaaved
Jaaferi (Actor), Pooja Batra (Actress), Nikhil Prakash (Actor), and Raj Krishan (film director).
As well, a special and exclusive interview with Jaaved Jaaferi will pay tribute to his late father, Mr.
Jagdeep, who passed away in July 2020 will also take place. The interview was conducted by Faridoon
Shahryar.

Monday, August 10 at 7 p.m.
Film: Batch of 2020 (Hindi/English)

Tuesday, August 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Film: Jersey (Telugu)
The screening of Jersey will be accompanied by an interview with Gowtam Tinnanuri (film
director), Nani (Actor), Shraddha Srinath (Actress) and conducted by Faridoon Shahryar.

Wednesday, August 12 at 6 p.m.
Film: Kaithi (Tamil)
The screening of Kaithi will be accompanied by an interview with Lokesh Kanagaraj (film director)
and conducted by Faridoon Shahryar.

Thursday, August 13 at 7 p.m.
Film: Trance (Malayalam)

Friday, August 14 at 7 p.m.
Film: Oh My Kadavule (Tamil)

Saturday, August 15 at 7 p.m.
Film: Super 30 (Hindi)

The festival spotlights regional languages from India (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and
Kannada).
