Telangana bus accident kills 40 including six children, leaves many injured on Tuesday morning. A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation bus carrying around 60 passengers fell off the road in Jagtial district in Telangana. The bus was coming from Kondagattut and was headed to Jagtial when the driver lost control while negotiating and the bus went off a hillside road.
The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital. The victims died out of fear during the bus accident. A relief rescue operation is being conducted by the district officials. The bus was carrying the passengers gone to pay reverence at a famous temple there when the accident coasted 40 lives. Kondagattu is famous for its Anjaneya Swamy temple which is a popular pilgrim spot.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has expressed his disbelief and shock at the accident. He has also instructed the officials to ensure the best possible medical care to the injured. The Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy has promised all government’s support to the victims’ families. CM Rao has also announced Rs 5 lakh as ex-gratia to the victims’ families.
