Another case of mob lynching in Bihar’s Sitamarhi district

Once again a person is beaten to death by the mob over suspicion of being a thief in his home district in Bihar. Rupesh Jha a resident of Singerhiya village of Sitamarhi district was returning from the town after getting his sister treated. In the wee hours, around 4 am when he reached Kishanpur, he was caught by the crowd over an alleged allegation of a pickup van driver that the victim Rupesh has looted his money.

The driver of the pickup van who alleged Rupesh of snatching his money has said that he was trying to run away after looting him on his motorcycle.

He was lynched by the crowd who were present there at that time. Later he was referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital for further treatment. Where he was declared dead during his medical treatment.

The District Police is investigating all the aspects but no confirmation of an FIR is registered yet. This is the third incident of its kind in Bihar.
