A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale hit Haryana on Friday morning. Its tremors were felt in Delhi and other parts of northern India.
According to the Meteorological department, the epicentre of the quake was Rohtak district in Haryana.
The department also said that the depth of the quake was 22km and it occurred at 4.25am.
The tremors reportedly lasted for about a minute.
However, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
