Amazon changes logo after major backlash; Reason here 

The company has changed the logo after nearly a month of criticism. The new logo of Amazon was showing a blue color tape on the upper part of cardboard with a signature style smile of Amazon just below it.

E-commerce giant Amazon has now changed its logo after months of controversy. Amazon’s new logo was launched on January 25, 2021, was getting negative feedback from the public since its release.

The company has changed the logo after nearly a month of criticism. The new logo of Amazon was showing a blue color tape on the upper part of cardboard with a signature style smile of Amazon just below it. 

Reason for Controversy: Amazon Logo

Amazon’s new logo was linked to Hitler’s face and signature mustache by the netizens. Because of this, Amazon was heavily trolled on all social media platforms. Seeing trollers and growing protests against the logo, Amazon decided to change it.

Amazon has launched a new icon after the protest, whose background is yellow. Amazon’s signature smile is also kept on it. But the style of the tape on its top has been changed. The blue tape has been given a slighter twist from the bottom. 

After comparing the old logo to Hitler and Charlie Chaplin, Twitter users are now comparing the new logo to the cartoon character, Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Myntra also changed the logo

Earlier, another e-commerce site Myntra also had to change its logo because it was deemed objectionable towards women. The case regarding this was also registered in Mumbai.
