Mobile Mexican Consulate: Consulate on Wheels is an ongoing initiative by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) to facilitate access to consular services for Mexican citizens living in remote municipalities where the consulate is physically distant.
Consulates on Wheels are operational in regions where access to the consular headquarters in the United States may be limited, facilitating the processing of critical documents including passports, high-security consular registration certificates, and National Military Service cards.
Information may be obtained from these mobile offices regarding the registration of children born abroad to Mexican parents, guidance on protection cases in all regions, and information on the various services provided by the Consular Representation. Brochures, Paisano Guides, and “Mexicano: Know Your Rights” cards are also available at these locations.
In addition to receiving orientation on topics of personal interest, Mexican migrants in the United States are assisted with consultations regarding labor rights and protection.
