SSI Payment December: The Social Security Administration (SSA) has announced that SSI recipients will receive three payments between November 1 and December 31, 2024. This is because weekends and federal holidays affect the usual payment schedule. Normally, SSI payments are made on the first of each month, but when the first falls on a weekend or holiday, the payments are moved to earlier dates.
In this case, due to the timing of these holidays and weekends, SSI recipients will get an extra payment before the end of the year. Make sure to check your payment schedule to know when to expect these payments.

The “triple SSI payment” refers to a situation where SSI recipients will receive three payments in a short period. Normally, SSI payments are made on the first of each month, but when the first falls on a weekend or holiday, payments are moved to the last business day of the previous month.
In 2024, due to the timing of holidays and weekends, there was two payments in November: one on November 1 and another early payment on November 29 (since December 1 is on a Sunday). According to Marca, the third payment will be made on December 31 to avoid the New Year’s holiday.
