Reliance Power RInfra Share Price: Reliance Power and Reliance Infrastructure have seen a strong rally in their stock prices recently. Over the past month, Reliance Power shares went up by 58.07%, and Reliance Infrastructure shares climbed 56.52%. During this same time, the BSE Sensex barely moved, rising only 0.10%. This has got many people talking about what’s behind this sharp rise.

Reliance Power’s subsidiary, Reliance NU Energies, got a big project recently. They received a letter of award from government-run SJVN Ltd. The project is for a 350 MW solar power plant connected to the inter-state grid. It also includes a battery storage system with 175 MW capacity and 700 MWh storage. This project has added to the excitement around RPower.

Meanwhile, Reliance Infrastructure’s defence arm has been active too. Reliance Defence has teamed up with Diehl Defence to work on guided and terminally guided munitions. This is part of a partnership they signed back in 2019. On top of that, Reliance Defence has also joined hands with Rheinmetall AG, a well-known German arms company. They will now work together in the field of ammunition. These defence partnerships are being seen as major steps forward for the company.

Expert Opinions

Market experts are not all saying the same thing about the rise in these stocks. Some think these companies are finally making a comeback. Sharad Avasthi from SMIFS said the recent moves by Reliance Infra are looking good. He mentioned that there is talk that the management is making good progress.

He also said that Reliance Power might be close to a turnaround. He believes the new leadership is doing good work but prefers to have more data before forming opinions. According to Business Today, he said, “I maintain a neutral view rather than giving a buy or sell recommendation.”

But not everyone is confident. Rudra Murthy from Vachana Investments does not suggest buying these stocks now. He said, “I understand there could be short-term moves but I will not personally advocate putting any money into these two stocks unless you are a quick trader. If you want to still put your money, you can place 5-10 per cent of your portfolio.”

Kunal Kamble from Bonanza sees the recent high trading volumes in RInfra shares as a positive sign. He said the stock is showing strength and if it stays above Rs 301, it can be a good buy on any dip. For Reliance Power, he thinks the stock is still in a good place but buying at current prices might not be the best idea. He said if the stock drops to around Rs 62-65 and holds above Rs 58, it can move up to Rs 100-120 in the coming sessions.
