On Tuesday, vehicular movement came to a standstill on the Baharagora-Baripada national highway in Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district due to a reported gas leak from a tanker.
According to officials, the district administration promptly halted traffic after propylene gas was detected near Jamsola, about 90 km from the location. The Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi directed the swift action as a safety measure.
The administration informed nearby residents of the potential danger while urging them to remain calm and follow official advice. Necessary measures are being taken to manage the situation, with an emphasis on public safety.
