iOS 26 Missed Call reminder: If you keep your phone always on silent that means you miss calls a lot. The real problem isn’t missing the call itself it’s forgetting to call back. But with iOS 26, Apple finally added a small but very helpful feature that solves this. It’s a new reminder option inside the Phone app. You can now quickly set reminders to return calls you missed.
This feature is actually more useful than some of the flashier things like call screening or auto-hold. And once you try it, you’ll probably wonder how you lived without it.

How the new missed call reminders work
This feature only works in iOS 26, so you need that version installed on your iPhone. Right now, iOS 26 is still in beta, which means only people testing the update can use it early. If you want to try this right now, you’ll need to download the public beta. Otherwise, you’ll get the final update when Apple rolls it out later this year.
Once you have iOS 26, you’ll notice that the Phone app has changed a bit. There are two layouts to pick from Classic and Unified. You can switch between them using the new Filter button that shows up at the top right corner. While the reminder feature works in both layouts, the Unified one makes things easier. In the Unified layout, there’s a special Reminders section right at the top, so it’s simpler to keep track of your missed calls and reminders in one place.
How to create reminder?
To create a reminder, just go to your Recents list inside the Phone app. You can’t set reminders from your Favorites or Contacts list, only from the Recents section. Once you’re there, swipe left on any call you see, and you’ll notice a new blue button that says “Reminder.” Tap that button, and you’ll get a few options for when you want to be reminded. You can pick an hour later, tonight at 9 p.m., tomorrow, or even choose a specific date and time that you want.

Reminders app
After you’ve chosen your reminder time, that reminder will appear in the Phone app’s Reminder section, right at the top. But what’s really cool is that it’s not just limited to the Phone app. If you open your Reminders app and check the Today list, you’ll see the call reminder there too. And when you tap it, there’s a helpful button to call that person back directly from the reminder. That makes the whole thing fast and smooth.
If you change your mind or already returned the call, you can delete the reminder super easily. Just go back to the Recents list, swipe left on that same call entry again, and tap Delete.
