What to Excpect from Season 3
The new season is called The Culling Game Part 1 and continues right after the events of Season 2. It will cover one of the most intense and action-filled parts of the manga.
Shota Goshozono returns as the director, and Hiroshi Seko is writing the scripts. This time, a new composer, Yoshimasa Terui, will create the soundtrack to make the scenes even more powerful. The total number of episodes has not been confirmed yet, but you can expect around 20 to 24 episodes
The season will begin with the “Itadori’s Extermination Arc,” where Yuji Itadori becomes a wanted man. The sorcerers hunt him down, and Yuta Okkotsu becomes his main opponent. Their intense fight shows how much both characters have changed since Shibuya. The next part, “Perfect Preparation Arc,” will show Maki fighting for revenge against her clan, Choso protecting Yuji like a brother, and the growing efforts to free Gojo from his Prison Realm.
After that, the story jumps into the “Culling Game,” a deadly event created by Kenjaku. Over 100 sorcerers from different times and backgrounds are forced to fight in sealed colonies across Japan. The goal of the game is to evolve cursed energy, but it turns into total chaos. Yuji, Megumi, Maki, and others join the battle to stop Kenjaku and change the rules of the game.
