Stock Under Rs 50 Sets Record Date for Final Dividend

Oracle Financial Services (OFSS) Dividend 2025: In a move that has caught the attention of investors, Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd. OFSS has declared an interim cash dividend amounting to ₹130 per equity share (face value of ₹5 each) for the year 2025-26. As a result, the dividend yield on the face value stands at an incredible 2,600%. The declaration was made along with the company’s Q2 / half-year results for the period ended September 30, 2025.

Such a large dividend from an IT services company is notable and raises questions about capital allocation, business outlook and shareholder reward strategy.

Oracle Financial Services (OFSS) Dividend 2025: Record date and payment timeline

In its exchange filing, OFSS confirmed the following:

The board has fixed Monday, 3 November 2025 as the record date, for eligibility for this interim dividend.

The dividend of ₹130 per share will be paid to shareholders “whose names appear on the list of members of the Company as at the close of business on Monday, 3 November 2025”.

Payment is expected on or before Saturday, 15 November 2025.

The company’s financials

It’s helpful to look at OFSS’s recent performance to understand the backdrop for this large dividend. According to GoodReturns’ analysis:

  • For the quarter ended September 30 2025, consolidated revenue rose ~7% to ₹1,788.8 crore vs. ~₹1,673.9 crore a year ago.
  • Net profit declined ~5.5% to ~₹546.1 crore from ~₹577.7 crore.
  • Operating income rose modestly (~1%) for the half year.

Despite this modest growth (and slight profit decline), OFSS is choosing to reward shareholders generously. As per LiveMint (in Hindi) the company would spend ~₹819.66 crore on the payout.

Oracle Financial Services (OFSS) Dividend 2025: Implications for investors

For long-term holders

For shareholders already holding OFSS, this is good news: a significant cash reward for staying invested. The large dividend may improve total returns (dividend + capital appreciation).

Yet, it’s worth noting: dividends don’t create value out of thin air they reflect surplus cash and corporate decisions. Therefore one should look at whether the business fundamentals remain strong and whether this payout is sustainable.

For new buyers ahead of record date

If you are considering buying ahead of the record date to capture the dividend:

You need to buy the shares on or before the day prior to the ex-dividend date (likely 31 October) to qualify. As per NDTV, you must buy by 31 Oct since record date is 3 Nov.

Be aware that once the stock trades ex-dividend, the pricing often adjusts downward by approximately the dividend amount (all else equal), so you’re not always getting “free money” since part of your return is baked into the price.

Check whether buying solely for the dividend makes sense given the valuation, business outlook and tax implications.

For existing shareholders, this is a welcome reward. For prospective buyers, the timing and the structural business view matter. As with all investing, a one-time dividend payout should be one important factor among several in your decision-making.
