Ahaan Panday’s Next Movie: Ahaan Panday is ready for his next film after the big success of Saiyaara. Yash Raj Films said on Friday that his new movie with director Ali Abbas Zafar will come to theatres on March 26, 2027. The film does not have a title yet, but it is already being talked about as a romantic action drama. Sharvari will play the female lead, while Aaishvary Thackeray and Bobby Deol are also part of the cast. Reports say this movie will be a major 2027 release for YRF.
This project also brings Ali Abbas Zafar back to the YRF banner. It will be his fifth film with the studio after Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. The new film is also being seen as a fresh pairing because Ahaan is still very new in films, while Zafar is known for big action stories.
Shoot began earlier this year
The film’s shoot had already started earlier. In April, Ahaan shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the sets and that was seen as a sign that the project had gone into production. The makers have still kept the story and other details hidden for now, so the plot is still under wraps.
Ahaan, who is Ananya Panday’s cousin, made his big-screen debut with Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara in 2025. The film also starred Aneet Padda and became a huge box office hit. Trade reports said it went on to become one of the strongest debut films in recent Hindi cinema, with the movie crossing major collection marks worldwide.
From assistant director to lead star
Before becoming an actor, Ahaan worked behind the camera first. He started out as an assistant director on Freaky Ali in 2016. After that, he also worked on Rock on 2 in 2016 and later on The Railway Men: The Untold Story of Bhopal 1984 in 2023. His journey from assistant director to leading man has now brought him a second film with a top studio and a major director.
