Italian club Juventus has confirmed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey and he will join the bianconeri from the next season. Serie A champions announced that the Welshman will join the club in the summer on a four-year deal.

Juventus took to Twitter to announce the signing of the 28-year-old midfielder.

Since joining Arsenal from Cardiff City in 2008, Ramsey has made 256 Premier League appearances but this season under Unai Emery, he has struggled for a place in the starting line-up and failed to agree on a new deal with the London club in the final year of his contract. Ramsey will become the third Welshman to play for Juventus after John Charles, who played for them from 1957 to 1962 and Ian Rush.

Arsenal midfielder took to his official Twitter handle thanking Gunner’s loyal and supportive fans. He said, “I wanted to issue a personal statement for all the Arsenal fans who have been extremely loyal and supportive. You welcomed me as a teenager and have been there for me through all the highs and lows I’ve encountered during my time at the club,” he said. “It is with a heavy heart that I leave after 11 incredible years in North London. Thank You”

Ramsey was in the final six months of his contract with the Gunners, which made him eligible to sign a pre-contract and leave the London club for free in the summer.
