Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi on Monday mocked filmmaker Karan Johar for having twins through surrogacy. Giving a disastrous response to media on Monday, Azmi reportedly said, “He should get married. And, if he has some medical issues that stop him from getting married, he should say it.”
This statement comes just a day after KJo’s public declaration that he was a father to twins – a boy and a girl – through surrogacy. To worsen the situation, Azmi even called Karan Johar’s surrogate kids decision a ‘drama’ and said, “If he has a medical problem, why can’t he just adopt a kid. Why do you have to do this drama of surrogacy?”
Notably, this is not the first time that Azmi has been heard passing remarks which are not only disgraceful but also extremely insulting in nature. Earlier this year, commenting on the alleged mass molestation in Bengaluru on the New Year’s Eve, Azmi had said, “If a girl celebrates after dark she should go with her husband, father and not with strangers. There should be strict action against those going against our culture”. Azmi is known for his intolerable patriarchal comments which have made news several times.
