ACB begins probe into bribery charges against Arvind Kejriwal

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has initiated a probe into bribery charges alleged by sacked Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Monday.

Mishra has also appeared before ACB to hand over additional evidence in support of his claims on Monday.

The probe began based on Mishra’s complaint alleging that CM Kejriwal had received a sum of Rs 2 crore from his cabinet colleague Satyendar Jain on Friday.

The ousted water and tourism minister had handed over his complaint to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Sunday. Later, LG forwarded the same to the ACB, first thing on Monday.

According to the reports, LG had asked a serious inquiry of the complaint against CM. He had also sought a report on the same within seven days.
