Where Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has made a record in catching those who take a bribe, it is simultaneously failing in providing punishments to the same during trials. In 2016, ACB  made a record while registering 84 number of cases of people taking a bribe. Whereas in 2017, it made another set of records while registering 48 number of cases related to bribing and sending accused to the jail.

Meanwhile, in between September 2016 and May 2017, 12 charged in old cases were released from the jail as there were no proofs. This shows that ACB is failing to provide punishments to those taking bribery.

When Bureau arrests anyone under the charge sheet of taking bribery, it also files a charge sheet with the court. However, when a trail starts in the court, the ACB fails to provide solid proofs against the accused which in turns benefits the charged.

This also raises a question that how the officers of ACB performs research work in any of the cases like these. However, Carelessness might be one of the reasons while solving a case on bribery and failing further to provide punishments.
