Days after the anti-Romeo squad was launched in Uttar Pradesh under Yogi Adityanath government, Bihar’s deputy chief minister Tejaswi Yadav on Saturday challenged the new UP CM to ban liquor and set up an “anti-Daru squad” on the lines of the anti-Romeo squad.

“Liquor is dangerous, it pollutes health and society. Yogiji doesn’t divert people’s attention and constitute anti-Daru squad (anti-liquor squad),” said Tejaswi, the younger son of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav.

If Adityanath is a ‘Yogi’ and an honest supporter of religion, he should order an entire liquor ban in Uttar Pradesh like in Bihar, Tejaswi said. In Bihar, the Nitish Kumar headed coalition government enforced total ban on April 5 last year in the state.
