Advocate files complaint against Coldplay for dishonouring Indian flag

A complaint has been filed at north Delhi’s Roop Nagar police station against British band Coldplay for allegedly dishonouring Indian flag during their performance at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai.

Gaurav Gulati, an advocate, has submitted a complaint against Coldplay and its frontman Chris Martin alleging, “They can be seen to dishonour our National Flag by tying it on the back of his jeans and dancing in objective positions (sic)

Advocate Gaurav Gulati has submitted a complaint against Coldplay and its lead vocalist Chris Martin alleging,  “They can be seen to dishonour our National Flag by tying it on the back of his jeans and dancing in objective positions (sic),” PTI reported.

The advocate alleged that Coldplay had used the national flag to cover their musical instruments.

Gulati demanded an FIR should be filed against Chris Martin and Coldplay for dishonouring the national flag.

On Sunday, NCP spokesman Nawab Malik had alleged that lead singer of the British band has disrespected the Indian flag during the concert and he also sought an unconditional apology from Martin.
