Justice for Najeeb: JNUSU calls for a Parliament House march

At a University General Body Meeting, the students of Jawaharlal Nehru University have decided to support the call given by JNU Students Union to organise a march to Parliament House on Wednesday to ensure justice for the missing student Najeeb Ahmed.

The caption of the poster to mobilise students for the march reads- It had been 38 days of pain and hope. 38 days of missing accountability and missing justice.

JNUSU had given a call to organise the march from Mandi House to Parliament House on Wednesday evening.

“The march will be against the JNU Vice-Chancellor’s partisan role and violations of all institutional responsibilities towards Najeeb, as well as the VC and the Delhi Police’s political protection to the assaulter of Najeeb,” JNUSU president Mohit Pandey told The Hindu.

Students also will protest against the misleading media feeds circulated by Delhi Police about the case.

On November 6, Delhi Police had detained students of JNU , who  protested at the India gate over inaction by the authorities to find Najeeb Ahmed.

The visuals of Najeeb’s mother being dragged in to a bus and a male police officer manhandling female protectors had created a huge outrage against Delhi Police.

Najeeb Ahmed, an MSc Bio Technology student, went missing from JNU on October 14, after an altercation with members of ABVP.
