Rashtriya Bajrang Dal leader Govind Parashar was attacked by the employees of Agra Municipal Corporation on Thursday when Parashar, along with few women, roughed up civic body employees over an anti-encroachment drive.
Enraged employees caught some of the Bajrang Dal members and beat them in full public view.
According to the reports, Police came to the spot to take situation under control. The employees of Municipal Corporation alleged that this was the ninth time in last 55 days that the leaders of Bajrang Dal had misbehaved with them.
An FIR has been registered against three Bajrang Dal members identified as Govind Parashar, Rahul and Manish. They were booked on charges of rioting, unlawful assembly, attempt to murder and assaulting public servants under various IPC sections. The three were sent to jail in the evening
