AIBE 20 Results 2025: Approaching the end of the year, there are thousands of law hopefuls all over India who took the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 20 in 2025 are extremely curious waiting for the announcement of the results and the final answer key release. The AIBE, which is conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI), is a mandatory exam to become a lawyer in India and the latest news is that the decision is around the corner.
What Is AIBE?
The AIBE is a yearly test meant to measure the knowledge of law and the reasoning ability of the graduates. Only those who pass this exam receive the Certificate of Practice (CoP) which allows them to practice law in India after registering with a State Bar Council.
The 20th installment of the exam, also known as AIBE 20 or AIBE XX (2025), was held on 30 November 2025, in one session at various centers all over the country. A total of 100 multiple-choice questions testing the knowledge of different branches of law were asked with one mark for each correct answer and no negative marking.
Provisional Answer Key and Objection Process
Just after the exam, the provisional answer key was published by the Bar Council of India on 3 December 2025 and it was made accessible on the official portal allindiabarexamination.com. The candidates could challenge the provisional responses up to 10 December 2025. This approach gave the candidates the opportunity to point out any mistakes before the final answers were decided.
The objection period is an important process: it makes sure that the evaluation is transparent and fair and all valid objections are taken into consideration before the final answer key is prepared.
Final Answer Key Release
The BCI helpdesk has recently confirmed that the AIBE 20 final answer key will be published by the end of December 2025. This final key will be the official criterion for evaluating the candidates’ responses. Candidates have to keep in mind that the public objection window will not be there for the final key as it was the case for the provisional one.
The PDF, once published, will be available on the AIBE official website without any need for login details, thus allowing candidates to check the correct answers set-wise (A, B, C, and D) and also their responses’ checking.

Qualifying Criteria
In general, to pass AIBE 20, the candidates have to get:
- 45% of total marks for General and OBC categories
- 40% of total marks for SC/ST and certain reserved categories
These cutoff percentages are the same as the last editions, however, the BCI has not yet made the cutoff for this year official.
As soon as the result is out, the candidates who have passed will be awarded the Certificate of Practice (CoP) which will enable them to register with their respective State Bar Councils and start practicing law.
