The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS has deferred the entrance exams for several courses due to the coronavirus pandemic, however, now it has been rescheduled, as per the notification released on the institute’s official website.
The examination will now be held on June 11 as per the notice released by the institute on June 1.
The entrance exam for admission in several programmes in the July-August Session 2020 was before slated to be conducted on June 5, but they were delayed “in view of the evolving situation related to COVID-19 outbreak”.
The official notice released by AIIMS reads, “The best possible examination city has been allotted to the candidates as per choice & subject to availability. The candidates are required to check allotted city on “MyPage” of “Final Registration” after Login with credentials.”
According to the official notice, the admit cards for the entrance exams will be released on the website on June 3 i.e. tomorrow, by 5 pm, and can be downloaded by the candidates. Candidates who will take the examination are advised to keep a tap on the official website of AIIMS for any latest updates or information about the entrance exam.
The entrance exams are being rescheduled for the following courses-
- AIIMS Fellowship Programme
- DM/M.Ch. & MD (Hospital Administration)
- B.Sc. (Post-Basic)
- M.Sc. Nursing
- MD/MS/DM(6yrs)/M.Ch.(6yrs)/ MDS
As the exam has been conducted amid lockdown, the institute has made sure that all measures would be taken by the authorities to reduce the risk of infection at the examination centre.
“All advisories/guidelines of Govt. of India, regarding social distancing and sanitization will be followed at all examination centres,” states the official notice.
