Airtel 5G Plus Services Are Now Live in Four Jammu and Kashmir Cities: Check details

According to the company, its 5G service will be made available in stages as it continues to build its network and completes the rollout.

The telco has acquired 355.45 MHz spectrum across Sub GHz, mid band and 2300 MHz bands, giving it "most formidable" spectrum holding in the country, Airtel said in a statement.

Monday, Airtel announced the launch of its 5G service in four Jammu and Kashmir cities. In Jammu and Kashmir, the telecom giant has expanded its 5G service to Katra, Anantnag, Baramulla, and Rajouri. The telecommunications company currently offers 5G service in Jammu, Srinagar, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Akhnoor, Kupwara, Lakhanpur, and Khour. According to the company, its 5G service will be made available in stages as it continues to build its network and completes the rollout.

Airtel 5G Is Now Available In These Four New Jammu and Kashmir Cities:

Katra,

Anantnag,

Baramulla

Rajouri

Airtel users in Katra, Anantnag, Baramulla, and Rajouri with 5G-compatible devices can experience Airtel 5G. The company has not yet announced any 5G plans, so users can utilise the 5G service with their current 4G plan. In addition, users should note that a new SIM card is not required to access the 5G service. A few days before launching its 5G service in four new cities in Jammu and Kashmir, Airtel had already introduced 5G in five cities in Odisha and ten cities in Bihar.

The telecommunications company had made its 5G service available in cities including Begusarai, Katihar, Purnia, Dhenkanal, Paradeep, and Bargarh. 5G service is currently available in Cuttack, Rourkela, Puri, Bhubaneswar, Anugul, Sambalpur, Berhampur, and Balasore, among other cities. A few days ago, the company also launched its 5G service in cities such as Kohima, Dimapur, Aizawl, Gangtok, Silchar, Dibrugarh, and Tinsukia in North East India.

In related news, Airtel recently confirmed that its 5G network has gained 10 million new users. In October of last year, the company announced its 5G Plus services. Since then, the company has expanded its 5G network to 150 cities, including major metropolitan areas and tier-two cities.

Similarly, Airtel’s rival Jio is expanding its 5G service to new cities every week. Currently, the company’s 5G service is available in 277 cities. Recently, Jio announced that its 5G service will be available in 20 cities. The company expanded its 5G service to the following locations in Assam: Bongaigaon, North Lakhimpur, Sivasagar, Tinsukia, Bhagalpur, Katihar, Mormugao, Diu (Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu), Gandhidham, Bokaro Steel City, Deoghar, Hazaribag, Raichur, Satna, Chandrapur, Ichalkaranji, Thoubal

A few days ago, the company also launched its 5G service in Shimla, Hamirpur, Nadaun, and Bilaspur. Prior to that, Jio had launched its service in select cities in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
