Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya test COVID-19 positive, Jaya Bachchan tests negative

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya have also been tested positive for COVID-19.

Aishwarya, Aaradhya test negative for Covid-19, discharged from hospital

After Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek announced on Twitter yesterday that they have been infected with the coronavirus, now Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya have also been tested positive for COVID-19.

Earlier in the day, it was said that Aishwarya and Aaradhya have tested negative. However, their final test reports came at 2.30 pm on Sunday.

Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope, on Sunday, gave the information on Twitter. He wrote, “Smt. Aishwarya Rai Bacchan & Daughter Aaradhya Abhishek Bacchan have also been detected positive for Covid19. Smt. Jaya Bachhan ji is tested negative for covid19. We wish the Bacchan Family to get well soon with a speedy recovery.— Rajesh Tope (@rajeshtope11)”.

Meanwhile, Jaya Bachchan, daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and her children Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda have been tested negative.

Amitabh Bachchan took to his Twitter handle and informed about his visit to Nanavati Hospital on Saturday evening. He wrote, “This evening I have been tested CoviD positive and have been shifted to hospital .. family and staff have undergone tests .. results awaited .. hospital shall inform authorities .. all those that have come in close proximity to me in the last 10 days please get yourself tested ..”


Soon after that Abhishek also confirmed that he has been tested positive for COVID-19 too. He wrote, “”Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”


A sanitisation drive was carried out at the Jalsa residence in the morning by BMC and a team of doctors also arrived to take samples of those whose tests were pending. The residence have been declared as a containment zone and no one is allowed to enter or exit the place.
