Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan may come together for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next venture. Apart from his collaboration with Salman Khan for an untitled project, SLB is also working on a story revolving around on Sadhir Ludhianvi and poetess Amrita Pritam.
While there were talks about Shah Rukh Khan coming on board for the same project and later we heard about Priyanka Chopra’s name being considered for the same, seems like Abhishek and Aishwarya finally bagged his much talked about the project.
As per latest reports in Mid-Day, Jr Bachchan has been confirmed to play the lead and he’ll romance his wifey dearest in the same.
If the news indeed turns out to be true, Abhi and Aish will reunite on the big screen after a gap of nine long years, their last movie being Mani Ratnam’s Raavan in 2010. While their jodi was appreciated by fans and critics in Guru that released in 2006, Umrao Jaan and Raavan were complete disasters at the box office. Let’s hope the Bajirao Mastani director is able to weave some magic with this great pair and is able to recreate their real-life chemistry on the big screen.
Recently when Aishwarya was asked to elaborate on her next project, she hinted at something exciting being on its way. “Normally when it comes to announcing my future projects, I leave it to the prerogative of my directors and producers. I have just very recently okayed a wonderful script and idea and character. So, I’ll let them make the announcement. And that is to start much later this year,” she said.
The couple was earlier expected to collaborate for Anurag Kashyap’s Gulab Jamun and she had even announced the same. However, things didn’t materialise between the couple and makers, and they had to unwillingly big adieu to it. Well, one can only say that Anurag’s loss is SLB’s gain.
