Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi released a joint list of ten commitments to the people of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday in a joint press conference in Lucknow.
The commitments include providing smart phones, skill development, free cycles and homes for the poor. The promises also include Rahul Gandhi’s commitments during his Kisan-Yarta, such as loan waiver to farmers and cut off power tariff for them, development issues will also be enlisted in the CMP. They also promised to restore law and order in the state and a 33% reservation for women in government jobs.
“We want a young and visionary government for Uttar Pradesh,” Rahul Gandhi said.

In the two and a half years (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi has failed. Demonetisation, surgical strikes are avoidance tactics,” Gandhi said.

After releasing CMP, Akhilesh said “Happy with initial voting trend in first phase of polling…first votes went to SP-Cong alliance and so alliance will be ahead.”
