Akshay Kumar is up with his ways to help the government to fight the novel coronavirus. The star has already donated Rs 25 Crore to the PM funds and now he did an additional contribution by donating Rs 3 crore to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The Rs 3 crore fund will help healthcare workers with the production of personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare and municipal workers. According to news reports, the actor has been quietly offering all kinds of help possible to the local authorities.
On Thursday, Akshay Kumar came up on social media and thanked all the essential service providers for their day-night toil to combat coronavirus and keep lives safe.
Sharing a video of himself, he wrote, “There’s an army of people working day and night to keep us safe, our families safe. Lets together say #DilSeThankYou to them because that’s the least we can do. @mybmc @MumbaiPolice (sic).”
