The world has no shortage of people taking advantage of coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic has brought alive some tactics of hackers. Some dangerous Android apps have recently been discovered that claims to help people with the coronavirus and once installed can damage the device.
People have been warned not to install any such app in their Android device or phone, which claims to support people with the Coronavirus.
It is an app unfolded called coronavirus Tracker. As soon as this app is installed on the phone, the entire control of the phone comes to this app. This app demands many things from the users and if they do not meet the demand, it threatens to delete all their data, videos or contacts from the phone of the users. It asks the user to lock the screen and deposit 100 to 250 dollars in bitcoin (BITCOIN).
The company has said that such apps can be easily identified by making public a clean and malicious app sample as well as a customized feed of URLs.
With this, the security of these apps can also be checked.
So far, about 35 Fake apps related to Coronavirus have been detected. These apps have not been made viral through the official Google play store, but are being sent to the users by sending links through e-mail or message.
