Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president, Amit Shah will address the ‘biggest ever town hall’ in the nation in Ahmedabad to launch party’s poll campaign for Gujarat assembly polls in the state. Gujarat BJP has already started substantial marketing drive ahead of the mega town hall programme of Shah.
At the town hall, Shah will take questions from young members from the state. Notably, around 22 thousand people have already registered to partake in the town hall programme. The theme of the programme will be ‘Adikhan Gujarat’ or resolute Gujarat.
BJP has planned a number of events for the upcoming polls and Shah’s town hall is being seen as a part of that larger campaign. The party has also released an eight-minute clip highlighting Gujarat’s development under its rule too.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat to contribute in the election campaign. Besides, the finance minister, Arun Jaitley will also be travelling to Gujarat soon to hold a workshop for BJP spokespersons and social media teams.
“This is part of the larger strategy to connect with youth and engage with them. Amitji is also closely associated with sports and as Gujarat Cricket Association chief he had earlier organised a statewide cricket tournament,” a senior BJP leader was quoted as saying by News 18.
